What to Ask Yourself Before Buying a Home

It all begins with letting you know about the right questions to ask:

  • How long are you planning on living in your new home?
  • Are you looking for a home that you can grow into, or one to downsize into?
  • How many bedrooms will you require?
  • How many vehicles do you have?
  • How much parking do you need?
  • How is your work situation?
  • What kind of activities do you like to do?
  • Are there facilities or outdoor spaces nearby that meet these needs?
  • Will you likely be changing jobs?
  • If you are going to change jobs or be transferred, will you be able to sell quickly? Keeping work in mind, how long do you want to spend commuting?
  • Will you drive or rely on public transportation?
  • How about the proximity to, and the reputation of, schools in the area?
  • Are you open to home that requires renovations?

Even though all these questions and decisions may seem overwhelming at the start, as we spend time going through homes together we will be able to help you narrow down your needs and wants.
